And Auld Lang Syne

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It feels so weird to think that its 2009 already! Well, its been a while since i posted last, so i thought I'd leave you something! First things first, David got a new job in the beginning of November!! He works at an eye care place, as the lead patient manager (that's fancy talk for head receptionist! LOL) The hours are perfect, and the pay is great! Especially since after only 30 days, they gave him a dollar raise! They really like him there, and we get a nice discount on glasses and free eye exams! Woohoo!!

Thanksgiving was wonderful, Christmas was wonderful, and New years was just okay! Haha! For Thanksgiving, we had a dinner just for the three (and a half) of us! I cooked a delicious and amazing dinner, with a 17 lb turkey! It was all beautiful and we all got nice and fat! For Christmas, we spent it at home just us again! We did the whole Santa thing for Cadence, starting a few weeks beforehand. We would tell her that if she was a good girl, Santa would bring us gifts! So she was actually GOOD until Christmas! On Christmas eve, we left out cookies for Santa, and the next morning, when cadence saw the plate with just a half eaten cookie left, and the milk was all gone, she was so excited! She even ate the rest of Santa's cookie! Almost immediately after opening her gifts, she began the "MINE!" phase!! For our Christmas dinner, we went to a friends house; they're this amazing family we know from church, and they were kind enough to ask us to dinner! It was so much fun, and so delicious. The day after Christmas, we drove up to Prescott to go play in the snow! Cadence had never actually played in snow before, so we wanted her to experience it. I'm so used to the nice Tucson weather, that i was FREEZING up there!! But it was good to see some old friends and to see the trees!! For New Years, David had to work all day, and late into the night. So i stayed home and watched some TV, played with Cadence... the usual! David got home in time for us to put cadence to bed, and then we drank some sparkling cider while we watched the ball drop, then we were all fast asleep before 12:30!! We never stay up that late, so it was difficult to keep my eyes open that late!

So now, things are going good! We are getting ready for Truman to arrive! I have 11 weeks left until the big day!! My mom is going to be flying out here when I have the baby to be here to help, and to play with Cadence! I'm so excited to see her, its been over 2 years!! And then In early June, we will be going to the temple to be sealed as a family!! So we have a lot of exciting things going on this year!
